From Laptops to Social Activities on Our Graduate Introduction Trip 👥 Last week, our graduates in Denmark turned off their laptops and went on a three-day introduction trip to Røsnæs filled with laughs and high spirits. The agenda not only included team-building activities, where the graduates got the opportunity to get to know their colleagues on a professional level. It also included social activities creating a safe space for them to connect on a personal level. Joining them on the trip were our colleagues Line Heiberg, Senior HR Business Partner, Margrete Rud Rasmussen, Senior Org. Development Consultant, and Camilla Fussing Marques, Director in Project Management Infrastructure. When talking about the thoughts behind the introduction trip, Line says: “The aim of the trip was for the graduates to build relationships across the different departments. Through the graduate program, we are developing the next generation in Aeven. They have joined us with a fresh set of eyes and a great portion of curiosity, which is beneficial to our organization. Therefore, we would like for them to establish a fruitful professional community from the early stages.” In Aeven, we believe that the integration of a graduate program isn’t solely about fostering academic excellence; it’s an investment in developing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and problem solvers 🙌 Are you curious to know more about our graduate program? At the recent Australian Association of Graduate Employers (AAGE) annual conference, a huge theme discussed was the importance of real communication and connection when trying to stand out as an employer in the grad market. And it's something that's coming up again and again in our conversations. Of course the well-known brand of the business is critical in attracting graduates - but it doesn't hold as much weight as the personal touch through the hiring process, offering examples of real connections in the team and a nurturing environment. These touchpoints are so important and they only become more so as you consider retaining junior talent in the team. #hiring #graduatecareers #graduaterecruitment

Embracing Graduate Programs Across Business Divisions! 🎓 Graduate programs serve as the cornerstone of talent development, and their significance cannot be overstated. Imagine a scenario where, say for instance in ICT Department. A graduate candidate rotates through diverse business divisions like , networks, ICT infrastructure, applications, and more, every six months. This rotational model offers a panoramic view of business operations, honing skills and fostering adaptability. In the real-world, picture being deployed to a customer site and encountering an issue seemingly rooted in ICT infrastructure. Your senior colleague in the networks division is stumped, but you, having rotated through ICT infrastructure and have experience working with the server infrastructure, step in and swiftly resolve the issue. No need for escalation; problem solved. Graduate programs cultivate versatility, transforming candidates into well-rounded professionals capable of tackling multifaceted challenges. Each rotation adds a layer of expertise, equipping individuals to navigate the complexities of business operations with finesse. The interconnected nature of business demands a holistic approach. Rotational programs break down silos, fostering collaboration and innovation. They bridge knowledge gaps, empowering graduates to thrive in an ever-evolving business landscape. Hence, for an organizations facilitating graduate programs, remember that each candidate is a gem waiting to shine. Nurture their potential, provide mentorship, and create a conducive environment for growth. Invest in their development, and watch them flourish as future leaders. With that, having traversed diverse business divisions within ICT department during my own graduate program, I've witnessed firsthand the transformative power of rotational experiences. They not only broaden horizons but also instill a mindset of continuous learning and problem-solving prowess. To organizations, champion graduate programs across business divisions to unlock the full potential of talent and drive excellence across all facets of business operations. #GraduatePrograms #TalentDevelopment #BusinessOperations #Leadership #ContinuousLearning #ProblemSolving

🔍 A really interesting blog from Zoe Healey on how work experience is continuing to change in schools. Reflecting on my own journey in my current position at Astrea Academy Trust and previously at Tapton School Academy Trust, I've been lucky enough to work for senior leaders who see the value in a shift away from the traditional two-week placements. It's no longer just about ticking a box; it's about providing meaningful experiences that truly impact young people. The "find your own, make sure everyone has some where" model, while common, often falls short of its goals, potentially playing into stereotypes and disadvantaging some, as students will tend to go for a family friend or local school or business. Sure, it might be enjoyable, they will learn some skills and knowledge and it may even be linked to what the student thinks they want to do, but does going to a family member or local business really challenge students to step out of their comfort zones, find out about an industry or role they had never considered or gain valuable skills and new networks? By offering a range of opportunities to visit a work place or get involved in an employer led project such as the Shaping Futures project currently running at The Dearne, young people get the opportunity to learn what they don't know and make really informed and empowered decisions about their future If your business wants to invovled in pushing boundaries and reshaping the way we approach work experience come and speak to us we are always open to new ideas. #WorkExperience #EmpoweringYouth #ShapingFutures #Careers #CEIAG
