Aetna Better Health of Illinois has just launched a free same-day pharmacy delivery service for eligible Medicaid members, with medications arriving in as little as three hours! As the first managed care organization in Illinois to offer this service, Aetna is committed to expanding access to essential prescriptions, especially for those living in pharmacy deserts. Pharmacy deserts are areas with limited or no access to nearby pharmacies, often affecting rural, low-income, or underserved communities. This lack of access can delay treatment, reduce medication adherence, and negatively impact health outcomes. In healthcare, speed and accessibility are critical to healthier patient outcomes.
