Thrilled to announce today Adzuna's acquisition of Seiza and welcome Camille Cosnefroy and his amazing crew to the Adzuna team. If you don't know Seiza, it's a business - originally founded as Work4Labs - that helps hundreds of companies to find candidates for their jobs on social media, and then engage those jobseekers and turn them into hires. Together our customers can - from today - access an audience of over 4 billion active and passive candidates, getting their brand in front of those hard to reach frontline candidates on platforms like Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok - as well as the tens of millions a month searching on Adzuna. We're the only job search engine offering classic sponsored jobs and social media together. We're calling it 'full funnel recruitment'. Oh and did I mention that's a bigger audience than LinkedIn and Indeed combined? We first talked to Seiza earlier this year thanks to Brian P. and were impressed. Their culture and vision were very aligned with ours. We did our in depth research on the whole space (thanks to many in my network!) and got even more excited about the quality of their solution, their focus on frontline roles and their candidate engagement platform - as well as overall customer demand for social media recruitment across the globe. This deal is the combination of two already profitable companies to drive growth - so no layoffs, only upside here - too rare in the current environment! It gives a boost to our US team, which expanded 2 years ago with the acquisition of Getwork, and our European operation with the addition of c.30 great colleagues in our Paris office 🥐 We're delighted to welcome Serena, Matrix, Stéphane Le Viet Gautier Machelon and others to our cap table I also want to thank all the folks who worked incredibly hard on the deal over the last months, including Andrea Rosas Castro Alex R. Some more stats about Seiza: * The company has raised over $20 million in VC funding to build their platform and a base of over 400 enterprise clients, primarily in the US and France * They have executed over 15,000 job ad campaigns on social media * 35 employees across US and France * Clients achieve a 65% reduction in time-to-hire with their candidate engagement platform and a 9% application-to-hire rate * The deal brings us to 33 unique nationalities in the Adzuna team! Short video, livestreaming, and social media platforms are no longer just about entertainment. Kuaipin, the blue-collar worker recruitment service launched by Kuaishou, is a prime example of how these platforms are transforming job recruitment. On July 11, Kuaipin released impressive data: Kuaishou’s annual recruitment videos and livestreams were viewed 100 billion times, generating nearly 25 million job search leads in a single month, and two-way job intention matches increased by 167% per month. Great to visit LinkedIn HQ yesterday with the gang & discuss talent insights 📈 For recruiters, hiring managers, job seekers - we use #linkedin like we do Careem, our camera, WhatsApp - it’s part of our daily routine and it’s easy to forget its size and power for assisting people in the professional field. I was reminded of its size yesterday: 🇦🇪 More than half the population of the #uae are active users on the platform (5.5million). 🌎 There are 43 million users in the MENA region. When your recruiter tells you they can’t find what you’re looking for, you’ve only one thing to do… Speak to one of my team. Whilst LinkedIn is one tool in our arsenal we’re also equipped with the right attitude, reach and skills to be able to find what you are looking for.
