This month is Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month. Myasthenia Gravis is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes weakness in voluntary muscles. This rare, autoimmune disease affects 20 out of every 100,000 people worldwide, although some people with mild cases may not know they have MG.
