Hey Sis, When was your last mammogram? If it's been a while, it's time to talk with your doctor about scheduling your next mammogram. Breast cancer is the 2nd most common cancer among women in the U.S., and it's most commonly found in women who are 50 or older. Mammograms can help you find breast cancer when it's easier to treat and before it's severe enough to feel or cause symptoms. Although a mammogram can be uncomfortable, any discomfort is over soon. We extend our heartfelt support to those affected by breast cancer and their loved ones. This month, we focus on the critical importance of breast cancer screening, especially for patients who may not realize the risks they face. Often, patients don’t know what they don’t know—if they aren't aware of the need for preventive screenings, they might not take action. As healthcare providers, it's vital to proactively educate and encourage patients to schedule screenings. Early detection can dramatically improve outcomes, but many patients won’t seek screenings on their own unless they understand the importance. Your efforts to raise awareness, provide education, and offer resources can be life-changing for your patients. Let’s spread the message, advocate for preventive care, and help ensure that no patient is left uninformed. Together, we can make a meaningful impact in the fight against breast cancer. #targetcontinuum #october #breastcancerawareness #healthcaremarketing #patientjourney #healthcare

🔬Early detection is key for outcomes in breast cancer. Women should perform self-breast exams, attend yearly OBGYN checkups, and get mammograms per the screening recommendations, which may vary based on family history. It’s also important to have breast awareness to notice any changes. Symptoms of breast cancer might include feeling lumps, changes in skin texture/appearance or breast size/shape (especially to one breast only), and unusual discharge from nipple. There are > 4 million breast cancer survivors in the US, including women still undergoing treatment. Awareness and knowledge can help the number of survivors grow! Early detection is key in the fight against breast cancer. By catching it early, you increase your chances of successful treatment and a brighter future 🌸 Here's why: 🎀 When breast cancer is caught early, the 5-year survival rate is 99%. 🎀 Regular mammograms can detect cancer up to 3 years before symptoms appear. 🎀 Women who perform monthly self-exams are more likely to catch lumps early. 🎀 Early detection often leads to less aggressive treatment options. 🎀 Scheduling routine check-ups can help prevent late-stage diagnoses. Make sure you’re staying proactive with regular screenings and self-checks—it could make all the difference. Let’s spread awareness, take care of ourselves, and encourage our loved ones to do the same. Interested in getting a screening?
