Analyzing a fire pattern is like solving a puzzle—each piece of evidence reveals important details about the fire’s origin and cause. As certified investigators with extensive experience, we know how factors like ventilation shape fire patterns, which is why studies like UL FSRI’s are so valuable. This knowledge allows us to provide clear, accurate insights that help professionals effectively assess and resolve fire claims. This video explores their experiments and measurement techniques to better understand fire dynamics in residential structures. You can watch the video documenting the research study's experiment methodology here: https://lnkd.in/gyQVTaZP #FireService #Analysis #PropertyandCasualty

Open access database consists of technical information on materials and products which will be useful tool for practitioners in fire investigation and safety applications 🔥
FSRI’s peer-reviewed journal article, “Fire Safety Research Institute Materials and Products Database—A resource to support fire modeling,” was recently published in the Journal of Fire Sciences. This research outlines the experimental and analytical methods used to characterize the materials in the MaP Database. This research is vital to give fire safety engineers and fire investigators the confidence and technical justification to use the database in their work, ultimately fostering improved fire investigations and fire protection designs for a more fire-resilient world. I made up this little diagram as I don’t really know the answer. 😏I understand that one of the physics’ law says high pressure will move to low pressure. This applies to both air and water vapor. Let’s say the air and water vapor pressure are not in sync? I also understand that one CFM out means one CFM in. This obviously will affect infiltration and water vapor can and will be carried with infiltration. But if we are just talking pressures what happens here? An Edit for clarity: What if the home had dehumidifiers inside making it very dry and very warm. And let’s say the home was slightly positively pressured on the inside. And let’s say the outdoor environment had a higher water vapor pressure. Would the air and water vapor travel in opposite directions? So which way will the water vapor travel?
