Fear has a way of holding us back, doesn’t it? Whether it’s stepping into a new role, starting a business, or even facing a personal challenge, fear often whispers, “What if you fail?” For me, there have been plenty of times where fear loomed large, but instead of avoiding it, I chose to confront it head-on. The result? Growth, strength, and a reminder that the best way to overcome fear is through action. Some find it fascinating that even though I spent part of my career as a commercial pilot, I’m afraid of heights. But flying an airplane feels way different than standing on the edge of a mountain looking thousands of feet down. I had the opportunity to climb Angels Landing in Zion National Park. This rock formation is over a mile high with dangerous switchbacks, steep ledges and slippery trails. It’s deemed one of the most dangerous hikes in America. I was apprehensive but completely committed to complete this challenge, which felt amazing!! So, if you’re standing on the edge of something big, remember: fear is just a sign that you’re about to grow. Take the leap—you’re stronger than you think. What fear have you conquered recently? Let’s inspire each other. #Leadership #PersonalGrowth #Courage
Fear can be a wild beast, huh? Tackling it head-on definitely builds character. Recently, I faced public speaking; what a rush. How about you?
Stunning views and an inspiring message. “Take the leap - you're stronger than you think!”
Love this post! A great reminder of the potential within us all if we just face the fear and take the leap!
Well said! And by the way, I too once climbed Angel's Landing. I'll never forget hanging on to those chains on the sheer cliff face along the last stretch. "Your biggest fear carries your greatest opportunity." - Robin Sharma

5dLove it Adrienne L. Stevens. I compare fear to “a good Friend hiding around a corner waiting to jump out and scare you”. Anytime you get away from your comfort zone, be ready. Look for the fear and lean into it. “I already see you” takes the fun out of fear’s gimmicks. Keep soaring, everyone!
