Transfer pricing involves setting the prices for transactions between entities within a corporate group for goods (products or assets), services, and capital (financing). Tax authorities across different jurisdictions rely on the "arm's length principle" that stipulates that the pricing for transactions between related entities should mirror the pricing that would occur if the transactions were between independent parties in a competitive market. A key question is when do you start thinking about transfer pricing. As soon as possible in the context of international expansion!
