When ad tech vendors decide to jump into political advertising a few months before the election, they often have 'concepts' of a plan, but they don't really know what they're doing. Running a political advertising campaign is vastly different than running a commercial one. With complex restrictions around political advertising, short runways, and constant twists and turns, "winging it" isn't an option. Ultimately, many of these ad tech vendors see massive political ad budgets as "a gold rush," instead of an opportunity to make a real difference.
