CEO @ Avoma – The leading AI Meeting Assistant and Conversation Intelligence solution

People who post about Gong, saying it's overrated or under attack, are completely clueless. I get it. People love drama on LinkedIn. That's why shitposting works better here than thoughtposting. And sadly, we're encouraging this trend by liking and commenting on such posts. In the last few days, I saw some posts where people took it on Gong. I compete with Gong – 12 hours a day. So I know lots of ins and outs. I lose to them sometimes. I win sometimes. But here's the truth. It's one of the best products, brands, companies and the sharpest sales and marketing minds in the B2B industry. Losing to them sucks. But I genuinely respect them. Avoma wouldn't have been pushing this hard and innovating this fast if Gong hadn't been here. They are not your classic 20-year-old lethargic competitor. They're insanely cut-throat and one of the most innovative AI companies in the world who are constantly pushing the boundaries. Are they very expensive? Yes. You're definitely overpaying them for their brand, functionality, etc. Did you have a bad customer experience with them? Sure. But who doesn't get such experience once in a while? You don't throw stones at others when you're living in a glass house. But if you compare them with Otter, Fireflies, Fathom, etc., then you're completely clueless. Honestly, there is no comparison between these tools with Gong. Those apps are cheap – for a reason. You'll get what you pay for. Gong is not your commodity call recording and transcription tool. It's an advanced platform with advanced workflows. If you've not adopted their advanced workflows and simply used them as an "expensive call recording" tool, it's equally on you and not just them. When I see someone shitposting Gong as a company or product, I don't buy their shitpost at face value. These people always seem to have some hidden agenda. Either they want to sell their competing tool, or they want to get popular. At Avoma, we will continue to compete with Gong. And we will continue to fight to win their customers and win the market share. But for us to win, they don't have to lose. We're to Gong, what HubSpot is to Salesforce. We both will win. 🚀 #ConversationIntelligence #RevenueIntelligence #AIAssistant #AINotetaker

This is a fantastic POV, Aditya Kothadiya. I miss cat memes being the most popular dopamine hit.

Wow, such an insightful take! 🙌 Respect for acknowledging Gong's strengths while highlighting the competitive edge. Balancing competition and respect - not easy! How do you see the future of AI in sales evolving with such strong players in the game?

Well said! As a buyer of both you are spot on! Keep up the good work!
