Over the last few days multiple brands big and small have repeated something that fascinated me , "Can we get a young kid who is passionate , we would love to give them an opportunity". Getting internships / first jobs is easier than ever in today's economy where companies are looking to conserve cash and willing to take risks with young talent . If you are a graphic designer, video editor, social media buff, I would say pick 20 companies you wanna work in, create a custom pitch, add some work you can do for them and send it to the founder / CEO , chances are you will hear back from them , if possible write what you are expecting in terms of salary in the mail and that will double up if not quadruple the chances of getting a call back . The moment you post on internshala you get 350 random and silly profiles which dissuade the recruiter so be proactive and go to source instead of trusting the mediator . #Talent #Freshers

"Drowning in Curiosity: When Class Turns into a Wonderland of Possibilities!" I began my internship at HospitalsConnect in June 2024 as an Executive Assistant to the CEO, despite initially applying for a content creator role. This experience has been a whirlwind of emotions, as it was my first 9-to-5 job with a boss. I often felt overwhelmed by deadlines, jokingly lamenting, "I'm just an intern!"😭 My passion lies in engaging with people and creating content. During my time at school(I am about to step into my finals), I had the opportunity to impress high authorities with my presentation skills which was really overwhelming because its only easy to access this authorities when your in trouble😂 , and including a memorable tagline for hand fans at the African Tech Expo: “GOD HEALS HC TAKES THE FEE” my boss and everyone that came to the stand wanted that particular inscribed fan(I felt soo proud )This moment ignited my aspiration to become a content writer. By July 2024, I was invited to join the creators' team, where I wrote scripts and participated in shoots. The positive feedback from my first clip solidified my desire to pursue brand content creation, even though I initially thought all creators were simply "content creators." Over the past four months, I've explored various paths—brand content creation, content writing, and marketing—and now feel overwhelmed by choices that differ from what I've learned in class. I now identify as both a brand content creator and a content writer. How can I effectively navigate my career path? Interview Experience for Social Media Intern . Hello everyone! I recently had my final round interview for the Social Media Intern position, and I wanted to share my experience. The interview was conducted via Google Meet. After a friendly greeting, the recruiter asked about my background and then delved into some insightful questions. Here’s a brief overview: 1. Content Calendar Assignment: I explained the steps I took to create the content calendar and whether I used any AI tools in the process. 2. Areas of Interest: When asked what other areas I’d like to explore besides social media, I mentioned graphic design. I shared a recent project I worked on for a coffee shop poster, which led to constructive feedback on areas for improvement. 3. Content Writing Strategies: We discussed my approach to content writing, including preferences for long vs. short-form content and the tools I utilize for content creation. 4. Email Marketing & Hootsuite: The recruiter inquired about my familiarity with email marketing and Hootsuite. 5. Expectations: I shared my expectations from the role and explained my motivation for applying for an internship despite having a year of experience. I expressed my long-standing interest in social media and how this opportunity aligns with my career goals. 6. Logistics: The discussion also covered my internship duration preferences, salary expectations, commuting arrangements, and potential start date. I had thoroughly prepared for the interview, but the questions took a different turn than I anticipated. What stood out was the focus on the job profile rather than my past experiences—there were no questions about why I left my previous company. I did my best to respond thoughtfully and now eagerly await the results. So, I recently got offered a marketing and content writer internship, which seemed pretty exciting at first! 🌟 But then I found out two things: 1️⃣ The stipend was ₹5000/month for a full-time, 6-day work week. 2️⃣ They don’t allow any side gigs like freelancing or part-time work, requiring full commitment for 6 months. Now, I’m all for building a strong foundation in my career, but I had to ask myself – is this the right way to start? I get it – internships are meant to teach, not just pay, but when you're putting in full-time hours and effort, shouldn’t there be a balance between learning and basic financial respect? 💼 The question is, am I thinking too much about the money? Or did I do the right thing by declining and holding out for something that values my time and potential? ⏳ I'm curious – What would you have done in my place?
