While we have missed our Director, Professor Noel Woodford, at the VIFM over the past few weeks, we’re proud of his knowledge-sharing efforts with King’s College and look forward to welcoming him back soon.
We were delighted to host Professor Noel Woodford, who visited from Australia earlier in the week, to discuss the Antipodean perspective of medicolegal death investigations. Organised by Dr Georgia Richards, an epidemiologist who founded the Preventable Deaths Tracker, Professor Woodford discussed how Australia's death investigation system evolved, its current practice, challenges and future directions. Among the attendees included four policy advisors from the Ministry of Justice, a Senior Coroner, and Sir Peter Thornton, the first chief Coroner of England and Wales.
