🎉 Why do New Year’s Resolutions go in one year and out the next? Mistake: Too fuzzy. “I want to lose weight!” Yeah, good luck with that. ➡ Fix: Be specific: “I weigh ___ by July 4, 2025.” Clear goals are like a GPS for your dreams. Mistake: Not written down. If it ain't in writing, it ain’t happenin'. ➡ Fix: Grab a pen. Write your resolutions. There’s something magical about seeing your goals in ink. Write them out --> every day...by hand. Mistake: Too many resolutions. Overloading your list overwhelms your brain. ➡ Fix: No more than five resolutions—and focus on the ONE that will change everything. Mistake: Written like a wish list. "Hoping" isn't helping. ➡ Fix: Write your goals in the Past tense, as if they’re already real: “I signed a book deal.” Fun note: I wrote this in my goals journal in Jan of 2024, and three months later—boom! Signed a book deal with Berrett-Koehler Publishers. My book, The Laughter Factor, will be released in the fall of 2025 : ) Mistake: Boring resolutions. If it doesn’t excite you, it will never ignite you! ➡ Fix: Make your resolutions feel inspiring. Instead of “exercise more,” aim for “I ran a 5K on March 17th and feel so great about it.” Infuse these promises with your personality. ✨ This New Year, when you set your resolutions...don’t forget them—get them! Write them down, make them come alive, and watch 2025 become your best year yet. What are your tips for making 2025 dreams come true? Please share them!
