How do you maintain a great angel/ founder relationship? I believe angel investors should stay out of the way of the founders they invest in!! Why? This is one of the best ways to maintain a great relationship with startups you invest in. Remember, ❌ It is not your business ❌ You shouldn’t be a reporting or admin burden (always taking up founder time) ❌ You may have relevant experience but all businesses are different You need to be a responsibe listener. This means listening to the challenges / needs of founders and helping where you can. This is one of the best ways to maintain a great relationship with founders you invest in as an angel. 😇 #founders #angelinvestors

Top Tips from angel investor Engin Yenidunya on your pitch deck. If you aren't aware of the Hotbed team, Perdie Alder & M Coyle, they have an amazing community and are currently curating a #HotbedSummer...
Yesterday, 10 founders live pitched angel investor Engin Yenidunya (21x21) as part of #HotbedSummer in front of an audience of 60+ other founders 😰 Engin's feedback was measured, actionable and relevant to all startups, 👍 Have an ask. Even if you just have 2 minutes of an investors time, make sure to include your ask (i.e. how much you're raising). 👍 Make sure the deck is up to date. Pitching in August, but called your deck "pitch deck July 2024"? It might make investors question attention to detail. 👍 Mention your company name a lot. Especially if you're pitching without a deck. You want investors to remember for when you send your follow up. 👍 Do your research. If you know the name of the investor you'll be pitching, research them, and use any commonalities you have to build rapport. 👍 Make sure your company or product brand name is SEO-able. Investors will be thinking about your routes to market. And the Hotbed tip. Take the opportunity! Of the 10 founders that pitched, at least 3 have follow-up meetings booked with Engin as a result 🔥

Due Diligence Essentials: What Investors Expect From Startup? Investors seek a strong partnership with founders, built on transparency and trust. During a recent webinar hosted by Aspire and HubSpot, Oliver Oliver, along with Michelle Anggadjaja from Intudo and Bernie Margulies from Wavemaker Partners, emphasized this point. At Trihill Capital, we believe data integrity during due diligence is crucial. It goes beyond just the numbers – it reflects a founder's integrity. Open communication isn't a sign of weakness; it's an opportunity to identify areas where we, as investors, can contribute to your growth. So, founders, are you considering a fundraising round? We at Trihill Capital can guide you through the process. Let's chat! Stacia Gitta Wiranata Gwenllian Ching
