I fully agree. Without integration, the continent will remain disjointed, with many small, shallow markets that are uncompetitive on their own and unattractive to investors. Underpinning this integration are capable states, offering good and accountable governance. Progress, or the lack of it, will be closely related to success in rebuilding post-conflict states and managing fragile situations. I believe that our continent has its best chance in a generation to make rapid progress,an opportunity that must be seized by custodians of Africa's Advancement

Did you know that the UN Sustainable Development Goals are more famous than the Africa Agenda 2063 among African youths? 📍 Yesterday I decided to spend my screen time wisely by joining a virtual meeting of the ”Africa We Want monthly conversation,” organized by a triune collaboration of Sompon Socialservice, the Young African Leaders Forum , and the African Union-AGA. This is where I learned the intro to the post from an enriching conversation about Agenda 2063 and its key objectives, as well as the vision for Africa's future. 🎇 Exquisitely moderated by dear brother Thoko J Mthiko, this conversation was graced by highly distinguished speakers, namely: H.E. Ambassador Salah Hammad from the African Union; Dr. Beatrice Khamati Njenga from the reputable International Leadership University Kenya; Vera Sompon of Sompon Social Services; and Prince Ifoh of the Young African Leaders Forum. Here is my main takeaway: ✨ The greatest asset of Africa is its youthful population. The youths are the main drivers of change and who can bring the Africa we all desire. However, most youths don’t even know that we have Agenda 2063. I for one, came across this for the first time a week ago. All I knew were the UN SDGs and Malawi Vision 2063. The first step to creating the Africa we want is to increase awareness of this agenda among the youth! 📢 📢 Therefore, I call upon all African youth to visit www.au.int to learn more about this agenda. We can together bring the Africa we want! Get acquainted with the agenda and find a part you can play to fulfil this noble cause. You have a place in Agenda 2063. Africa is blessed! FYI, be on the lookout for the monthly conversation for March! kindly repost to educate some youths in your network #theafricawewant #youthempowerment #agenda2063 #africanunion #yourplaceintheagenda2063 #agentsofchange

Africa, the world’s second-largest continent, home to 54 countries, over 2,000 languages, and a growing population of over 1.4 billion people. With its rich cultural heritage, vast natural resources and resilient people, Africa is poised for greatness. However, despite Africa’s remarkable economic potential, it remains largely underdeveloped. She still grapples with a complex web of interrelated challenges hindering her progress. This is where we come in. Nonprofits, social enterprises, the private sector, and the public sector play a critical role in addressing these challenges, hence the need for Collaborative Leadership. Collaborative leadership emphasizes partnerships, inclusivity, and collective action to solve Africa's pressing issues. Hence the need for a cross sectoral dialogue to explore the pivotal role collaborative leadership plays in addressing Africa’s diverse challenges. I invite you to be a part of Aspire Coronation Trust Foundation's 8th Breakfast Dialogue as we explore the theme, "Collaborative Leadership: Bridging Sectors for Sustainable Development in Africa", and network and collaborate to begin the change. Date: 10th October 2024 Time: 10am (WAT) Click here to register https://lnkd.in/erez_EaU #actfoundation #collaborativeleadership #BreakfastDialogue #impact
