THE POWER OF REAL JOB CLUBS: WHY YOU NEED MORE THAN JUST SUPPORT 🔵Did you know that most job clubs have a success rate of just 10%? That’s because many of these so-called "job clubs" are more like Job-Search Support Groups, meeting just once a week for a few hours. While they provide much-needed encouragement, they often fall short of helping you land a job. 🔵But here’s the good news: real job clubs, as originally designed by Nathan Azrin, can boast a success rate of 84%! These clubs treat job hunting like a full-time job, with daily meetings, partner feedback, and shared job leads. Participants work together from 9 to 5, actively pursuing opportunities, and supporting each other throughout the process. 🔵Unfortunately, this model has nearly disappeared due to funding cuts and cultural shifts, but the blueprint still exists. And even though most modern job clubs have “dumbed down,” they still offer one invaluable asset—a community. No one should have to job-hunt alone. At Accurate Resume, we understand the power of community and the importance of a strategic job search. Let us help you navigate your job hunt more effectively. You don’t have to do it alone. 💼 #JobSearch #CareerAdvice #KenyaJobs

Job hunting right now can feel like you’re trying to find a needle in a haystack, but with the right strategies, you can make that haystack a little smaller and easier to navigate. Here’s how to sharpen your job search and stand out in this tough job market: 1. Use your network to find opportunities - when opportunities are limited and competition is high, your network becomes your secret weapon. It can help you hear about job openings sooner and build trust with potential employers. ✔Go through your existing contacts—phone, email, and LinkedIn. Reconnect with old colleagues, friends, and acquaintances. Let them know you’re job hunting and what you’re looking for. People who know you are more likely to support you. ✔Join professional groups - get involved in associations or organizations in your field. These groups connect you with others in your industry, offer skill-building events, and provide opportunities to build your reputation. A quick search can uncover local and online options. ✔Use LinkedIn strategically - reach out to recruiters, hiring managers, or employees at companies that interest you. Keep your messages thoughtful and specific. You won’t always get a reply, but a respectful, genuine approach will increase your chances. 2. Focus on quality over quantity - it’s easy to get caught up in the temptation of applying to every job out there, but blasting out applications will leave you burnt out. ✔Focus on roles that get you excited – the ones that make you say, “Yes, this is it!” ✔Then, take the time to tailor your applications to showcase your skill, expertise and passions. ✔Take a deep breath, stay focused, and remember: the right opportunity is out there waiting for you. It might take time, but trust me – the job you’re looking for is worth the wait. #jobsearch #gethired #jobsearchtips

Job Hunting Truth: If you're looking for a full-time job, your full-time job IS looking for a job! I've learned something powerful throughout my recruitment career: when you're job seeking, job hunting BECOMES your job. It's not just about sending out a few applications and hoping for the best - it's about strategic, intentional, and consistent effort. Here are 3 game-changing tips I've seen transform job seekers' experiences: 1. Treat your job search like a professional project Create a structured daily routine. Block 2-3 hours each day dedicated ONLY to job search activities. This means targeted applications, networking, skills upgrading, and personal branding. Consistency is your superpower. 2. Network strategically, not desperately Networking isn't about collecting contacts - it's about building genuine relationships. Reach out to professionals in your desired field, engage meaningfully on platforms, attend industry events, and showcase your genuine interest and expertise. 3. Personalise every single application Here's one for you - Generic applications are CV black holes!!! (Genuinely!) Tailor each application to the specific role and company. Research the organisation and reach out directly, understand their challenges, and demonstrate exactly how your skills solve their problems. Employers want solutions, not just employees! Job hunting is brutal. Lonely. Discouraging. Full of rejection. At a certain point in one job search, I clearly remember sitting slouched on the couch, scrolling job listings on my laptop thinking, "I cannot envision any scenario where I will ever get one of these jobs". That's how low I was. If you're in job search mode right now, I highly recommend connecting with other job seekers to share opportunities, trade notes on what's working, and to provide each other some moral support. Having some friends on the same journey can make a huge difference in your mental state. If you're a recent/future college grad looking for full time work in marketing, please reach out about joining my community of job seekers. I'll add a link in the comments. Also, if there's anything I can do to help you personally, send me a message and we can meet 1:1. #jobsearch #marketingcareers #marketingjobs

Happy Job Hunting! 🌟 As Week 7 of my search concludes, I'm reflecting on the journey so far. Acknowledging areas for growth, I recognize the importance of face-to-face interactions and company website reviews. On a positive note, reaching out to 3 new contacts has opened exciting doors. Personal accountability drives my reflection process, shaping my plan for the upcoming week. A key lesson learned is the necessity of leveraging my network in today's challenging job market. While my resume and skills stand strong, securing an interview among 800 applicants highlighted the power of networking - a sincere thank you to all who supported me! Not every week needs to yield immediate results; some serve as groundwork for future opportunities. Remember, each contact you engage with is a valuable connection. Maintaining visibility ensures you're top of peoples' mind when the right role emerges. Emphasizing the significance of follow-up, I've realized the impact of a simple thank you. Ensuring a seamless process post-interview or when scheduling a future meeting, expressing gratitude, and clarifying next steps are vital elements of the job search journey. This past week underscored the importance of perspective. With 6.6 million unemployed individuals in the logistics sector, the job market is competitive. Amidst challenges, I remain grateful for the essentials - a home, clean water, and power. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by recent floods, highlighting the true definition of resilience and need. Anticipating a promising week ahead, I eagerly await updates on pending interviews and engage with business owners for potential opportunities. Stay tuned for more exciting developments! 🚀 #JobSearch #Networking #CareerReflections

As the week comes to a close, it's important to reflect on the progress made in your job hunt and plan for the week ahead. Here are three quick tips to optimize your job search: 1. Reflect and Refine: Take some time to review the applications you've sent. Reflect on the feedback and refine your approach where necessary. 2. Network Smartly: Use the weekend to reach out to your network. A quick message or a virtual coffee can open doors to new opportunities. 3. Skill Up: Dedicate a few hours each week to learning a new skill or enhancing an existing one. This not only boosts your resume but also keeps you engaged and motivated. Remember, job hunting is a marathon, not a sprint. Stay positive and persistent. Your next opportunity could be just around the corner. #JobHunt #CareerGrowth #JobSearchTips

Job hunting can be an uphill battle, especially for introverts like us. It's not just about sending out resumes; it's about the countless hours spent editing and tailoring each one to perfection. Did you know that on average, job seekers spend about 6-9 hours per week tweaking their resumes? And for introverts, that process can feel even more exhaustive as we meticulously analyze every detail. Then there's the networking side of things. It's not just about reaching out to a few contacts; it's about casting a wide net and engaging with numerous individuals to secure those valuable referrals. Studies show that job seekers who actively network are 2x more likely to find a job compared to those who rely solely on submitting applications online. That means introverts have to push themselves out of their comfort zones, engaging in countless conversations to make those crucial connections. But here's the silver lining: introverts bring a unique perspective to the job search process. Our keen observation skills and attention to detail make us experts at crafting standout resumes, and our thoughtful approach to networking often leads to deeper, more meaningful connections. So while the journey may be challenging, let's embrace our strengths, think outside the box, and remember that our perfect opportunity is waiting just around the corner. 💼✨ #IntrovertsUnite #JobSearchInsights #opentowork #businessanalyst #linkedinlearning #powerbi #hiring #hiringba

Something I noticed about the job hunting process that I think others would relate to is that networking is absolutely essential to a successful job hunt. You can have the education. You can have the certificates. You can even have good interviewing and communication skills… but if you don’t have a solid network of people you can lean on and talk to — if you don’t have the right people in your corner, the chances of getting an interview are pretty slim. Todays job market is red hot (as I am sure you’re aware) and sometime job offers are determined by the smallest margin. Sometimes jobs could be decided by just how quick someone is to apply. It’s good to know someone who has the connections you need in order to be at the right place at the right time. Networking — as uncomfortable as it may be — is essential. I am quickly realizing this as I continue on my journey to a new career. Best of luck to my fellow career searchers! God bless! #networking #career #jobsearch #jobhunting #opentowork
