I’ve seen a lot of posts already about Giving Tuesday. And it is such a powerful day—it reminds me to pause and think about the causes I care about. But if I’m being honest, I’ve never actually given on Giving Tuesday. Why? Well, there are so many deserving charities out there, it’s always felt overwhelming to choose. Plus, I’ve never been one to jump on a bandwagon just because someone says, “Today’s the day!” I like to give when it feels right—on my own timeline. But here’s the thing: I do believe in giving. There’s nothing quite like the feeling you get when you know you’ve made a difference, even in a small way. And while I might not have donated on a specific Tuesday, I’ve seen the impact of this day, as I volunteer with Restore Small Groups. It’s like Black Friday for non profits: it’s vital to finish our year strong. And I have seen first hand the healing and connection that comes from Restore’s US and international programs. So, whether you give today, next month, or in your own way, I hope you lean into that joy of giving. But if you want to join me (yep, my first time) and give on giving Tuesday, let’s see how we feel on Wednesday. #restoresmallgroups

Less than one week to go until the #BigGive Christmas Challenge begins! We love this video from the Big Give team. Did you spot a familiar face from the FEI family? Nikki Lilly 👀 Donations made between the 3rd and 10th December will be matched, which means a £2 donation becomes £4, and a £25 donation becomes £50, at no extra cost to you. Double the support means double the impact, and we're doubling down on championing the rights and inclusion of people with facial differences. VD: A series of clips edited together to look like old camcorder video. The voiceover asks "If you could double one thing about Christmas, what would it be?" The clips feature footage of classic parts of Christmas including snow, food, time spent with family, cuddling pets, the music. These are all accompanied with voices of many different people sharing what they love. The voiceover then says Christmas is a time to double the difference in the world, and goes on to explain the Big Give matched funding campaign. Charities taking part in the campaign share what they would double to make the world a better place. FEI Patron Nikki Lilly is featured and says "I would double the self-love and self-confidence that anyone with a facial difference should have for themselves." #FaceEquality #FacialDifference #DoubleTheDifference #Impact #BigGive #ChristmasChallenge #NikkiLilly #DoubleTheImpact #GivingSeason

Now for the value post 👨🎓 It's almost Thanksgiving 🦃 Which means, it's almost #GivingTuesday When was the last time you talked to your list? Probably not in a while. That's okay because you can still save yourself now. As we say, "It's never to late to start again" Now is the perfect time to wake up your list, get them "buttered up" for what's to come. All you got to do is setup a simple email sequence, just talking to them. That's it! People love to feel that they are cared about, and wanted, not just wanted for their money. Show them that you are alive, and care to get in touch, not just ask for donations. A simple email telling them you haven't forgotten about them, can make all the difference in your fundraising strategy. Trust me, I have done this... Don't believe me? Want to know word for word how to get your donors to give a crap about you even if you haven't bothered to care for them? Book a call, I'll show you how have the best #GivingTuesday you've ever had. For real. no BS. #GiveSuite #Nonprofitmarketing #Emailmarketing #Digitalfundraising

It doesn't escape me that during this time of year, everyone is inundated with #nonprofit appeal letters, postcards, emails, phone calls, text messages, and social media posts. Everything from "get your donation in for your 2024 tax break" to "it's the season to remember others." I am just as guilty. [This is another one of those social media posts. LOL.] However, doing so is both important and needed. Black Friday was coined for the time of year when stores began to turn their accounting books from red to black. The idea that, "Boom! We're going to turn a profit!" Nonprofits are somewhat similar. The funds raised during this time of year sets the programmatic ship in motion for the upcoming year. ✔️ Commitments can be made. ✔️ Services can be implemented. ✔️ Scholarships can be passed on. ✔️ Changes can begin, and so on... So whether you write that check, swipe that card, or just make that verbal commitment (yes, that is important too!), make giving a holiday tradition that continues right alongside the other traditions. And if you are looking for one to learn more about and perhaps give it a shot, take a look at SADD Nation. www.sadd.org/donate #SeasonOfGiving #Holidays #Donate #HelpingOthers #SADD #SADDNation

We are starting our Christmas giving push at The Good Registry. But unlike most Christmas campaigns it’s not a push to buy stuff. We don’t want you to buy anything. We hope you’ll use your Christmas spending power for good instead. How to do that? - Give experiences - Give time / service - Give Good Gift Cards from The Good Registry - gifting goodness - so your recipients have the joy of giving to causes they care about, instead of more stuff. We have 65 awesome Kiwi charities for them to choose from. If you're involved in Christmas gift decisions for your workplace, I challenge you to do your Christmas gift giving this year without buying stuff. #sustainability #givingback #corporategifts

What does your business do for staff at Christmas - apart from the boozy Christmas party? 🎄🍷 How about doing something special for their children this year? We can help! At Caring Cooks, we’re offering personalised Santa letters delivered straight to children, grandchildren, or loved ones. All we ask is a small donation from you as the employer to support our Food or Fuel Campaign, which provides vital help to families in need this Christmas. It’s kindness for your staff and the wider community - a win-win! Here’s how it works: 🎅 Send an email to your team (we can even provide the wording for you). 🎅 Your staff fill out a quick, automated form (takes 2 minutes). 🎅 We take care of the rest, and the magic arrives in the post! It’s an easy way to spread Christmas cheer, show your team you care, and earn major brownie points as an employer - all without adding to your workload or stretching resources. If this sounds like something your business would love to do, please reach out to me or visit: https://lnkd.in/etvcfMPY. Let’s bring a little joy this Christmas - booze optional! 😉 #CallingAllBusinesses #SantaLetters #CommunitySupport Association of Jersey Charities

This is #GivingSeason, a time that reminds us of the power of generosity and the impact we can have on our communities. Joanie and I have always tried to do our part in giving back. Years ago, we started hosting an annual holiday party, a gathering meant to celebrate the season with signature homemade dishes and great conversations. But as enjoyable as it was, we felt something was missing…it lacked deeper meaning. The following year, we made a change. Instead of just celebrating, we chose to incorporate giving. 🩵 Ever since, we partnered with a local charity, learned about their mission, and shared their stories. Each year, our guests have shown incredible generosity—bringing donations, volunteering their time, or contributing financially. Ironically enough, the most memorable part of this annual celebration for all of our guests, is how much more meaningful the evening becomes when they’re part of something bigger. It’s a powerful reminder that most of us WANT to give back. And sometimes, we just need AN OPPORTUNITY TO DO IT. So, today, I want to encourage everyone to take even a small step toward making the world a better place. Whether it’s big, small, financial, time, or simple kindness—the impact comes from giving with an open heart. How are you making a difference? I’d love to hear your stories of giving back.
