Rise, a Nigerian fintech company, has successfully completed the acquisition of Hisa, a Kenyan wealthtech startup. This acquisition is part of Risevest's strategy to expand its presence in the East African market and enhance its offerings in the fintech sector. The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Risevest, founded in 2014, is known for providing access to dollar-denominated investments in developed markets and has a user base of 620,000 with cumulative payouts exceeding $42 million. The company has received backing from notable investors like Flutterwave, Techstars, and ARM. This acquisition marks Risevest's second major purchase, following its acquisition of Nigerian trading platform Chaka in 2023.Hisa enables Kenyan investors to access local stocks and fractional shares of U.S. companies. Before the acquisition, Hisa was valued at $7.7 million and had received investments from prominent figures and institutions, including the founders of Chipper Cash and Kenya’s Faida Investment Bank. Private Equity Deals #Qiro Finance has raised INR 100 Mn ($1.2 million) in a pre-seed funding round led by #Alliance, an early-stage web3 accelerator. The round also saw participation from Druid Ventures, Escape Velocity (EV3), Trident Digital and CMT Digital. # Prosperr.io has raised INR 125 Mn ($1.55 million) in a pre-seed funding round. The round was led by Gokul Rajaram, a board member at Pinterest and Coinbase. The round also saw participation from angel investors including Vinodh Bhat (JioSaavn), Ramakant Sharma and Saurabh Jain (Livspace), and Kunal Shah (QED Ventures), among others. #Brookfield, which is also aiming to raise as much as $5 billion for a climate-focused fund to invest in emerging economies like India, is set to raise $105 million from New York-based #International Finance Corp (IFC), the private sector investment arm of the World Bank.

Congratulations to the Austrian trading software enspired, which has secured a €25.5m Series B funding round. Zouk Capital led the round alongside PUSH VC, Banpu NEXT, Vopak Ventures, Presidio Ventures, Emerald Technology Ventures, Helen Ventures, 360 Capital, and EnBW New Ventures. Applause also goes out to Harbor Lab, the Greece-based solution for port cost management, which has successfully secured €14.9 million in an impressive Series A funding round from Atomico, with follow-on investments by existing investors Notion Capital, Venture Friends, SpeedInvest, and the Dock. 🥳 Tulyp.io, SBC '22 alumni, has raised an impressive €1.5M in seed funding led by Speedinvest with Kima Ventures, Purple Ventures, and prominent business angels. Tulyp.io is the leading centralized platform for securing, financing, and accelerating international trade transactions. Their mission is to give SMEs access to the same Trade Finance services as large groups, helping them secure their international operations. Tulyp took part in Fintech & Cybersecurity 2022 at Startupbootcamp, where they have been mentored by Guido Ruggeri. Throughout the accelerator, they focused on enhancing technology, exploring market opportunities, and building a strong international network.
