🎬 Who woulda thunk: brands may be part of the solution to “fix” Hollywood?!🌟 ⏬ Things are not what they used to be. Hollywood vets and newcomers alike are facing challenges in the post-strike era, and we're seeing a major slowdown in the workforce (e.g. the number of workers employed in the LA entertainment industry dropped by 17% from May 2023 to October 2023). 🙄 The slow restart is attributed to several factors, including new contracts forcing guilds to reassess workforce needs, cautiousness from producers due to potential strikes by other unions, and overall adjustments to the streaming boom. 💥 But as the adage goes, Necessity is the Mother of Invention. “In periods of downturn, people start to experiment,” the article quotes. 🤝 Insert: BRANDS. 🚀 Brands possess the potential to play a pivotal role in revitalizing the industry and putting it back to work. As tensions linger and uncertainties loom, brands have a unique opportunity to step up as catalysts for change, leveraging their financial and creative resources resources to reignite Hollywood… ✅ It’s a win-win. *** The Met Gala is a night to standout, to dress to impress and really make a statement. *** Who ended up getting most of the press, the woman of the moment, who can do no wrong, Zendaya! She knows how to grow her brand right!!! *** All the press and news focused on her OTT dress and look. And why wouldn't they? The more extreme, the more interest, the more people talk about you. *** Zendaya is a master of using fashion and costume to create attention. She did it at the Dune 2 Premiere in London and countless other times. By doing so it makes it more than her own beauty and looks, it is the theatre, the shock, the fun. *** She has grown her personal brand perfectly, and she does it with the intent to become the most bankable Hollywood actor.
