🚀 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗪𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀 🚀 Ever wonder why some products fly off shelves while others don't? The secret could lie in the simplicity of the pitch. In today’s fast-paced retail environment, clear and straightforward pitches are the key to rapid adoption by retailers. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘀: - 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱: Retailers are more likely to stock products they can easily explain to customers. A simple pitch ensures the product's value is immediately apparent. - 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: When a pitch is straightforward, decision-making becomes faster. Retailers can quickly assess the fit and potential of the product without wading through complexity. - 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀: Simple pitches make training staff easier, which in turn enhances their ability to sell the product effectively. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗲𝗰𝗼-𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵: "𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿." 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆. From a Weet-Bix box drawing at a campfire in the Kimberley’s to a $40m brand Anna Dupont and James Salerno from Ringers Western filled the room at Online Retailer Conference & Expo yesterday. It was clear their genuine approach to brand building and serving their customer has taken a family founded business to great success. James candidly shared how: Important inventory management is. Finding the right balance between enough stock turns and not running out. Running a daily P&L is core to their business and understanding overheads. Having systems in place to support your scale and keep inventory syncing in real time. Delivering on your promise to your customer. Socials are for sharing real experiences. They scaled quickly and grew phenomenally but always stayed true to their family roots. They are proof that niche brands can scale and dominate their customer segment 🚀 My key takeaway - you don’t have to serve the 100% to build a great business. You can scale profitably without funding if you do it right from day one. Learn, iterate, grow…

Founders look for success in different ways. Most prioritise sales, So they become revenue-led businesses. Placing financial growth above everything else. Others prioritise the product, So they become product-led businesses. Building the best products and leveraging new tech. Some prioritise the customer, So they become customer-led businesses. Obsessing over the customer and their needs. The new school prioritise the founder, So they become founder-led businesses. Where the founder becomes the star. A Study by Wolff Olins compared all above approaches with the brand-led approach and found that 82% of brand-led businesses outperform their competitors. And yet only a few businesses prioritise brand and become brand-led. To join this few you must design your decision making around three key pillars; 1. What your business wants to be in the mind of it's market. 2. What your business currently is in the mind of it's market. 3. keeping 1 & 2 in perpetual alignment. You must also be willing to look critically at your existing touchpoints, interrogate your activities on there and ask — "What perception does our actions elicit in the mind of our market"? The answer to this question will lead you to deploying sales, product and customer focused activities, amongst other business operations that are guided by an overarching brand foundation. So departments are not working in silos but in sync to protect what you stand for, deliver a great brand experience and fulfill your promise to your customers and stakeholders. #branding #brandfoundation #brandinitiation #brand

The Domino Effect of Poor Business Practices In business, inefficiencies in one area can cascade through the entire organization: Pressure on Sales from Poor Marketing: Weak marketing leaves sales teams struggling with uninformed and uninterested customers. Ex: A fashion brand with ineffective marketing. Pressure on Marketing from Poor Product: If the product lacks appeal, marketing efforts fail. Ex: A beverage company launching an unappealing drink. Pressure on Product from Poor User Understanding: Products that don’t meet user needs fail. Ex: A cosmetics brand not researching customer needs. Success requires alignment and collaboration across all departments. Ensure marketing, sales, and product teams are strong and coordinated. #BusinessStrategy #Marketing #Sales #ProductManagement #CustomerSuccess #Teamwork

At Becolourful, we’re working on a refresh of our philosophy and our services, all driven by some reflection on the state of our discipline. Two beliefs sit at the heart of our thinking on brand strategy. 1) That business exists to serve people; to *create* not extract value 2) That brand strategy has to be accessible to be actionable Our work is rooted in the premise that the best brands don’t persuade as much as serve. They know what people need, focus on what they care about, and improve experiences and outcomes at every turn. Customer value first, stakeholder value second. That's the order. The kind of value you create? That's the strategy part. Sounds simple. (What if it is?) Stay tuned for more updates coming soon. ----- Becolourful gets complex B2B businesses excited and aligned around their brand manifesto so they’re (finally) on the same page and ready for growth. 👉 Ring the bell so you don't miss a post 🔔 #brandstrategy #brandconsultant #brandingagency #brandstrategist

The Grand Finale: A Match Made in “Business Heaven”😅 Okay, okay... so maybe we’re not that different after all. 😏 As much as Thoriso Hlahane and I love to argue over whose field is more important, the truth is: both Marketing and Supply Chain are essential to making a business thrive. While I ensure that the products get from point A to point B without a hitch, she’s the one making sure everyone knows why they should want them. We’re both in the business of creating connections—mine with goods, hers with people. Without Supply Chain, Marketing’s dreams would stay dreams. Without Marketing, Supply Chain’s efficient processes would just be... well, processes🤷🏻♀️ Together, we make the magic happen! ✨ It’s like the perfect team: Marketing builds the story, and Supply Chain makes sure it’s delivered. Because in the end, it’s all about working together to create the best customer experience. So, here's to us both—proving that collaboration trumps competition every time!🤝 #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork #MarketingAndSupplyChain #CollaborationOverCompetition

3moAbinash Mishra sir, I agree with you. Clear and concise pitches make it easier for retailers to understand and connect with the product, which helps win their support. I’d like to share my experience: when I visit the market and meet with retailers, I focus on simple and straightforward communication. By making the conversation easy to follow and relatable, I build strong connections with them. This approach has significantly boosted my product sales, as it fosters trust and enhances our professional relationships.
