#FasalOne is here! The Research & Development team has been on it for sometime. And i am very excited that they have crossed the finish line! What is #FasalOne? Fasal One is a farm hardware platform that solves the insights that we have generated by working with 1000's of horticulture farmers across many districts and crops. What's new and why? #OneSystemInfinitePossibilities: There are many Fasal farmers who have already progressed in their journey of leveraging Fasal's Technology to get the best out of their farms. Now, they are hungry for more insights and they want more control on the farm outcomes. Naturally they told us to do more and pushed us to build further. #FasalOne has the capability of operating as a mesh network where 1 main Fasal IoT device can be plugged to 100 other smaller satellite IoT devices. These 100 can be a permutation and combination infinite number of sensors bringing in additional information of the electrical conductivity of their soil, the pH of their soil, concentration of CO2 in the crop canopy, the temperature of the leaf, the temperature of the buds, global radiation, you name it and #FasalOne gives us the ability to develop a satellite IoT device and connect it to the Fasal Main IoT device network. And this information flows into our agri-intelligence suite offering farmers more precise and actionable farm-level, crop-specific and crop-stage specific intelligence. #InfinitePossibilities #BiggerFarmsBiggerSavings The average horticulture landholding in India is roughly 3.5 hectares (about 7 acres). On an average every Fasal Farmer has ~2 devices on their farms. But once they see the power of the system, they want more and more smaller units to be deployed across multiple plots of their land. The satellite devices we had earlier were independent units transmitting data to the cloud on their own. This individuality came at the cost and our farmers demanded that we solve this for them. #FasalOne has the ability to create a network with a 100 satellite units on the farm, transmitting data centrally rather than each unit talking to the cloud. This brings the data cost significantly down and enables our farmers to scale the coverage with a smile! ........
