Hand Safety Awareness At A B Equipment, we prioritise the safety and well-being of our team members—especially our dedicated Field Service Technicians, Boilermakers, Metal Fabricators, and Electricians. According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, over 20,880 Australians were hospitalised due to injuries from sharp objects in 2021 and 2022. These incidents can occur both on the job and at home, often caused by: ⚠️ Sharp edges on tools and equipment ⚠️ Hands in dangerous areas with stored energy or low visibility ⚠️ Use of unapproved knives or box cutters ⚠️ Crush zones lacking proper isolation ⚠️ Hot work or chemical handling Hand injuries can lead to serious consequences, including lacerations, fractures, and even amputations. To safeguard against these risks, here are some key tips for preventing hand injuries: 1️⃣ Stay Aware - Keep your work area free of hazards. 2️⃣ Use the Right Tool - Ensure tools are suited to the task. 3️⃣ Mind Hand Placement - Anticipate how tools might move if force is released. 4️⃣ Protect Your Hands - Always wear appropriate gloves for the job. Let’s commit to a safer workplace by staying vigilant and prioritising hand safety. Together, we can prevent injuries and ensure everyone goes home safe! #HandSafety #SafetyFirst #ABEquipment #WorkplaceSafety #InjuryPrevention

𝐃𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞⛑️ Ensuring Safety on Construction Sites: A Top Priority Construction sites are bustling environments, and while the work is demanding, ensuring the safety of workers should always come first. Here are a few key measures to keep construction sites safe: 1. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Equip every worker with the necessary PPE—helmets, gloves, safety boots, goggles, and ear protection—to prevent injuries. 2. Regular Site Inspections: Conduct daily inspections to identify and address any unsafe conditions or potential hazards promptly. 3. Comprehensive Training: Provide workers with proper training on safety protocols, equipment handling, and emergency response procedures. 4. Clear Safety Signage: Install visible safety signs around the site to alert workers to potential dangers, such as "Caution," "Danger," or "No Entry." 5. Fall Protection: Ensure fall protection systems (guard rails, safety nets, harnesses) are in place for workers working at heights. 6. Scaffolding Safety: Install scaffolding properly and inspect it regularly to avoid accidents. 7. Electrical Safety: Secure and insulate electrical wiring to protect workers from potential hazards. 8. First Aid Preparedness: Always have a well-stocked first aid kit on-site and provide workers with basic first aid training. 9. Clear Pathways: Keep pathways clean and free of debris to reduce the risk of tripping and accidents. 10. Emergency Procedures: Establish and communicate clear emergency protocols to all workers, ensuring they know exactly what to do in case of an accident. 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐌 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 By following these steps, we can significantly reduce the risk of accidents and create a safer working environment for everyone involved. #ConstructionSafety #WorkplaceSafety #ConstructionManagement #SafetyFirst #CivilEngineering #postbyroshan #roshanprajapati #construction #civilengineer

Post Title: "Recognizing and Mitigating High-Risk Activities in Kitchen Equipment Maintenance" Post Body: "In the field of kitchen equipment maintenance, safety is paramount. Over the course of my 13+ years of experience, I have encountered numerous high-risk activities that require attention to detail and strict adherence to safety protocols. Some of the key high-risk tasks include: Electrical Work: The risk of electric shock or electrocution when working with faulty wiring or exposed components. Ensuring proper insulation and following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures is crucial. Handling Hazardous Chemicals: Deep cleaning requires working with degreasers, descalers, and disinfectants, which can cause burns or respiratory issues. Using PPE and working in well-ventilated areas is a must. Working at Heights: Whether it's fixing exhaust systems or accessing overhead equipment, falls are a significant risk. Securing ladders and using fall protection equipment can prevent serious injuries. Heavy Lifting and Equipment Handling: Incorrect lifting techniques can lead to back injuries. Using mechanical aids and proper techniques reduces these risks. Hot Surfaces and Burns: Equipment like ovens and steamers pose burn hazards. Heat-resistant gloves and waiting for surfaces to cool are essential. Confined Spaces: Working in limited areas like boilers or grease traps can expose technicians to low oxygen or toxic fumes. Proper ventilation and monitoring are necessary for safety. Every technician must prioritize safety and follow appropriate measures to mitigate these risks. Safety is not just a protocol—it’s a culture that protects lives and ensures efficient operations. Let's continue to promote and follow high safety standards in our workspaces. #SafetyFirst #HighRiskActivities #KitchenEquipmentMaintenance #TechnicianLife #WorkplaceSafety #PreventiveMeasures"

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has several requirements for safety line anchorages, including: Supporting capacity Anchorages must be able to support at least 5,000 pounds per employee attached. Independence Anchorages must be separate from any anchorages used to support or suspend platforms. Dee-rings and snaphooks Dee-rings and snaphooks must have a minimum tensile strength of 5,000 pounds. They must also be proof-tested to a minimum tensile load of 3,600 pounds without cracking, breaking, or permanent deformation. Mobile work platforms Anchorages for mobile work platforms on powered industrial trucks must be attached to an overhead member of the platform, above and near the center. Anchorages can be: Engineered systems designed specifically for fall protection Secure connection points on existing structures Anchorage connectors, which are secure attachment points for lifelines, lanyards, or deceleration devices Anchorages can vary by industry, job, type of installation, and structure. If you see any damage to an anchorage, you should: Alert your Competent Person Take the anchor out of service immediately Have the Competent Person determine if it is still safe to use
