SEO and meta descriptions: Everything you need to know in 2025 While it may seem like a small detail in the grander scheme of SEO, well-optimized metadata can make a significant difference in: Attracting clicks. The URL structure isn’t the priority - content relevance and links are. A common question in the SEO world revolves around the importance of page paths, especially in the context of topic clusters. Let’s simplify this. Topic clusters consist of a main pillar page and related cluster content. The pillar covers the broad subject, while clusters dive deeper into specific aspects. This structure builds authority and improves search relevance. While page paths (the URL structure) can help organize content, they’re not the main focus. Interlinking is what truly defines relationships between pages. Clear paths make navigation easier and can help with performance analysis. However, changing existing page paths comes with risks: it can confuse users and search engines. Design thoughtfully, but don't lose sleep over page paths!

The more content people create, the more stringent quality filters Google sets for adding you to the index. The principle of marginal utility works not only in economics. The cost of indexing new pages remains the same (and even increases due to the larger number of JS sites), but the value of such pages for search quality decreases with each new unit. Google has enough quality content today to become more picky. The lesson? When launching a new site today or publishing a new page, you should act as if you only have one chance to please Google.
