Looking at job postings like 👀 The number of businesses asking for "marketing assistant" level pay while expecting CMO level results is TOO DAMN HIGH. Let me break this down from my 15+ years of experience: If you need someone to: ✅ Schedule posts ✅ Create basic graphics ✅ Update your website ✅ Handle admin tasks = Marketing Assistant If you need someone to: ✅ Drive business growth ✅ Build marketing systems ✅ Create & execute strategy ✅ Own the whole marketing function = Fractional CMO Understand the difference and budget accordingly. And you know what's EVEN BETTER? I do BOTH roles. Having a client-facing admin on my own team means that when you hire me as your CMO, you're also getting a marketing assistant. And YOU don't have to manage them... 🎉 #MarketingTips #BusinessSuccess
Update website create graphics doesn’t fit into same job as admin tasks. One is a creative position. The other is straight admin
Wow Really?
If it is your part time job. I will try to tell that "Great job". ❤️❤️ If no, you should to focus on your own something. Please excuse me🙏. I am so much small-age of experience than you. Now i am trying to make a very strong work-skill on Digital Marketing like you. But my target is not that. I am proudly saying that "Marketing is the main part of any business success" I am a Digital Marketer. My proud: Business Help & Support
You are wearing too many hats! Your employers are exploiting you and do not care about diversifying their team to have more specific roles. You'll see no significant growth in those companies and AI is going to disrupt them into bankruptcy.
My role as a Marketing & Communications Manager encompass those two roles, and more. Abrar Salim Chohan I am a Marketing department, believe it or not 😂. I don’t think Gen-Z Marketers will feel this vibe because it’s definitely not giving sustainability in the long run 🤣
I agree ☝️ yes 💯 they want to pay $50k expecting $150k+ work and 20+ years experience levels. They want you make them million and pay you $50k. Do they not know percentage? And of someone can make you millions either they want and deserve at least 15% share of that profits as they as well could go make their own company and be boss & keep it themselves. These scrooges should go hire high school grads-college interns or fresh grads will little skills if they want to pay that little. 😂 but good luck to them! Bye Bye 👋 scrooge! Hope Scrooge meet his angels of death this Xmas and wake up!. 🎄 🎅
Agree. It’s shocking what some companies think is a fair salary for someone that is traveling international, the FACE OF YOUR BRAND, building and managing your entire marketing strategy and plan, and responsible for managing internal and external staff, ALL VISIBLE attributes of your company, and millions of dollars of sales revenue. I’m afraid I may have had a jaw drop moment in a Teams from someone who came to me wanting me to fix their huge mess. 😳🤣
I've been seeing lots of posts like this recently and as someone just starting my job search to change careers it's piqued my interests. I'm 44 and really concerned about my time being wasted trying to filter through disingenuous expectations and roles.
I would hire you in a minute clear intent to provide more than paid for but as described Lord willing someone will see that soon

2wI’m getting lots of requests for Facebook Ads. It’s a specialist skill and if I had training in this, it’s not something you’d get for my VA rate!
