I just "taught" OpenAI's ChatGPT 4 to check my Google Calendar and plan my day with me, send the plan via Airtable (with Make) to Notion and add new tasks to Todoist app and create new events to my Google Calendar. I'm thinking of teaching it to add email drafts to my gmail as well. I still want to write my own emails, but it'll be easier to remember to write them when I have a draft in my email inbox waiting for me. I was inspired by Allie K. Miller's post about the AI agents. I connected the various services directly with actions to that one GPT ("Assari" is Finnish slang for Assistant), so that I can have a voice chat with "Assari" and don't have to call other GPT's to help me. Now that I've learned how I can have ChatGPT 4 to send directly text to Airtable, that'll make ChatGPT even more useful for me. I have heavily automated my life tracking and run most of my (Make) automations at some point of the process through Airtable. This way my Airtable databases for "life tracking" and business are my "single sources of truth". In the image my ChatGPT-assistent "Assari" has just called Todoist and Airtable after our discussion about tasks I need to do and the next day's schedule. Before that ChatGPT has told me what I have in my calendar for the next day. I've then told it what I want to do and when and it has written a nice, clean schedule based on my instructions. The schedule eventually goes automagically to Notion to my "Today" page. In the middle you can see the added task in Todoist (I made a separate ChatGPT-project where I'll have ChatGPT send the tasks for further review until I trust it). On the right is my ChatGPT-Airtable-database – as I'm still testing, I'll have ChatGPT send the data to that database. There's also a "Type"-field that then let's Make know what it should do with the different entries. The only problem I haven't gotten around yet, is that I have to give even during the Audio Chats manually ChatGPT permission to send data forward every time I start a new chat. 🤷🏼♀️ Of course, it's just one click, but still annoying if my hands are reserved. EDIT: After one day of use I'm pleasantly surprised how well this works and can't wait to get my "real work" done so that I can make the automations even more powerful and useful. 🤖 BREAKING NEWS: ChatGPT-4 Turbo Update ("gpt-4-turbo-2024-04-09") Today (12 April, 2024) OpenAI has rolled out the updated ChatGPT-4 Turbo for all paid users (they announced yesterday it was available in the API and rolling out to ChatGPT-4 soon) and after only 24 hours it's already sitting at the top of the Leaderboard in Chatbot Arena. Here's a brief overview: 📍 VISION: Enhanced vision capabilities. I just tried it on some pot plants on my deck - identifying them and telling me why they were dying (I'm terrible at keeping plants alive 😂) and it was spot on! 😬 📍 ENHANCED INTERACTIVITY: Introduces JSON mode and advanced function calling, especially for vision tasks. 📍 KNOWLEDGE UPDATE: It is now trained on publicly available information up until December 2023, offering fresh insights (previous data cut-off was April 2023) - I can confirm that even though the word 'Turbo' is not included on the App, it is indeed an updated model 👉 I asked "Please give me detailed results of the World Series on Nov 1, 2023" - see screen shot below for results 😀 📍 ENHANCED MEMORY: Has a 128,000-token context window for comprehensive and complex analysis. For context, this is equivalent to a 300-page document 📍 IMPROVED SKILLS: Better at writing, math, reasoning, and coding. I tested out a math equation and, although simple, it nailed it where it couldn't do that before when I tested. 📍 STREAMLINED CONVERSATIONS: Expect more direct and conversational responses. For example, when writing with ChatGPT, responses will be more direct, less verbose, and use more conversational language. What secrets does ChatGPT hold? Last weekend I sat down to experiment with ChatGPT. I wanted to know if I could get ChatGPT to divulge leaked information. Recent research by Milad Nasr and Nicholas Carlini from Google DeepMind demonstrated that it's possible to extract large chunks of training data from ChatGPT, including personally identifiable information and sensitive content. I decided to put this to the test. I compiled a list of recent M&A deals that surprised the market, where insiders could have profited by buying the target company's stock before the announcement. I then asked ChatGPT about these deals, curious to see if it knew of the deals beforehand. Initially, ChatGPT's guardrails held up, and it didn't disclose anything sensitive. A quick online search (less than 10 minutes) revealed many people freely share "jailbreak prompts", which are designed to break the defenses of popular LLM products. The first one that I tried did the trick, and ChatGPT began to reveal sensitive information. I researched a few recent deals, purposefully choosing ones that few market participants had predicted, to see if ChatGPT had any inside information. For two out of the ten deals, ChatGPT was able to tell me which company would be acquired, suggesting some data was leaked. The recently updated ChatGPT UI contains a helpful warning: "Don't share sensitive info. Chats may be reviewed and used to train models. Learn more" Yet, many office workers use ChatGPT daily for tasks like summarizing documents and responding to customer emails, potentially putting sensitive information at risk. The fact that ChatGPT knew about these specific deals is no longer the main concern. The bigger question is: what else does ChatGPT know that it shouldn't? This is a crucial issue that needs to be addressed, as the implications of leaked sensitive information can be severe. In conclusion, my experiment highlights the potential risks of using AI models like ChatGPT for sensitive tasks. While ChatGPT's capabilities are impressive, it's essential to acknowledge its limitations and take steps to mitigate these risks.

ChatGPT is getting ‘memory’ to remember who you are and what you like Talking to an AI chatbot can feel a bit like Groundhog Day after a while, as you tell it for the umpteenth time how you like your emails formatted and which of those “fun things to do this weekend” you’ve already done six times. OpenAI is trying to fix that and personalize its own bot in a big way. It’s rolling out “memory” for ChatGPT, which will allow the bot to remember information about you and your conversations over time. Memory works in one of two ways. You can tell ChatGPT to remember something specific about you: you always write code in Javascript, your boss’s name is Anna, your kid is allergic to sweet potatoes.
