The 1985 Alpina B7 Turbo is a rare and highly respected model from Alpina, a German company that specializes in high-performance tuning of BMW vehicles. Part of the E24 series, it’s one of the most coveted Alpina models due to its performance capabilities and exclusivity. 😊 Alpina B7 – BMW Year: 1985 123,296 KMS Arktisbllau metallic with gold Alpina graphics Description Transmission: 5 speed manual Displacement: 3,430 cc Engine: 6 cylinders in line Doors: 2 Fuel: Gasoline Traction: RWD (rear) Chelsea 1979 Alpina Group BMW Group Alpina, founded by Burkard Bovensiepen, has long been associated with BMW, taking their models and enhancing their performance and luxury aspects. The B7 Turbo, particularly the 1985 model based on the BMW 6 Series E24 platform, represents Alpina's engineering prowess in creating powerful and luxurious grand tourers. The B7 Turbo was groundbreaking at the time because it combined turbocharging, typically used in sports cars, with the comfort and practicality of a sedan. Only about 236 units of the E24 B7 Turbo were produced, making it an exclusive collector’s item. Alpina’s unique approach shines in the B7 Turbo, with features that make the driving experience that much more. Alpina Signature Styling: It features the classic Alpina blue and green color scheme, the iconic 20-spoke wheels, and Alpina badging that separates it from a standard BMW. Interior Upgrades: The interior was crafted with an eye for luxury, featuring Recaro seats, Alpina’s custom instrumentation (including turbo boost gauge), and a unique numbered plaque indicating the vehicle’s exclusivity. Suspension and Handling Enhancements: Alpina custom-tuned the suspension with stiffer springs, Bilstein dampers, and larger anti-roll bars for improved handling . Braking System: Upgraded ventilated disc brakes at the front and rear improved stopping power, which was essential given the car’s significant power boost. Alpina’s attention to both the aesthetic and performance aspects created a vehicle that was not only faster than its contemporaries but also offered refined luxury. #classic #classics #classiccars #collectorcars #carcollectors #historic #vintage #performance #racing #rallying #driving #car #cars #automotiveindustry #auto #autos #autoindustry #auction #forsale #sold #automotive #investment #privatesale

The car in your photos is a 6series code E24. In the body of your post, there is a frequent reference to E28 5 series. Their body is different. Engine may have similarities to the capacity (3.5 ltrs) but they are two different cars.
BMW with the Alpina package are so cool - loving the interieur in blue-green ✌️

1moThe 3.5-liter straight-six was turbocharged, producing 300 horsepower and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque, impressive numbers for the 1980s and more powerful than many contemporary supercars. 😍 (NOTE: Stock photo, not the sale lot)
