I made some ramen today. Technically I made two different kinds of ramen today (And I don’t mean the top ramen in a cup!) I made the good stuff with all the toppings in those rich broth’s. In the process (which is a really long process) it made me think of Salesforce. How or why would I compare Salesforce to making Ramen? Well here’s the recipe: 1. The Broth: Customization - Ramen: Simmered to perfection for hours. - Salesforce: Customizing fields and workflows until it’s just right (and hoping nothing breaks). 2. The Noodles: Data Management - Ramen: The chewy goodness that holds it all together. - Salesforce: Clean, well-structured data (because messy noodles or data is a no-go). 3. The Toppings: Features - Ramen: Eggs, chashu, and seaweed. - Salesforce: Dashboards, reports, and apps. Top it all off and make it irresistible. 4. The Seasoning: User Training - Ramen: A dash of soy sauce or miso to hit the spot. - Salesforce: Training users so they don’t “noodle” around aimlessly. 5. The Presentation: User Interface - Ramen: Beautifully arranged to make you drool. - Salesforce: A slick UI that makes users actually want to use it. Being a Salesforce admin is like being a ramen chef – it’s all about balance, flavor, and making sure nothing boils over. 🍜💼 #Salesforce #SalesforceAdministrator #AdminLife #RamenLovers #CRM #TalentStacker

Welcome to another Friday edition of 🍵 That’s the Tea! 🍵 Every week I share three things I found interesting, and this week we’ve got quite a spread. Google is back in the hot seat once again, Salesforce has a rough day, and a brand I love looks to be coming back to life. 🙏 1️⃣ Apparently I can’t quit talking about Google. Sorry, friends. But the hits just keep on coming for digital marketers when it comes to the changes Google is making to its search engine algorithm. On top of the travesty that is their AI Overviews, this week documents were leaked that seem to show what ~really~ happens in the black box that is Google’s search results. While Google’s reps may not be outright lying about how search results work, it doesn’t seem like they’re being entirely truthful either and contributing to every more noise and messiness when it comes to how marketers try to compete in the rigged system Google has created. 2️⃣ Salesforce just wrapped up another Connections in Chicago (RIP to the days when it use to be in beautiful Indianapolis - I say full of bias as a love of all things Indy), but the month isn’t ending on a high note for the software giant. For the first time since 2016, Salesforce missed their earning estimates, coming in below their revenue growth numbers and reporting a record low increase in billings. Following that news, their stock price had its worst day in 20 years, falling 20%. Big yikes for them. AI is seen as a major culprit for the decline, and I imagine some other players in the CRM and email spaces are taking a bigger and bigger bite out of Salesforce’s client base. 3️⃣ Forget tea. This last one is all about beer. 🍺 And not just any beer. We’re talking about an American institution, Anchor Brewing in another city near to my heart, San Francisco. Anchor was founded in 1896 and is one of, if not the oldest, craft brewery in the country. It was acquired by Sapporo in 2017 and basically run into the ground, with one of the worst rebrands I’ve ever seen and complete negligence by the Sapporo organization in supporting this historic brand. It looked like Anchor was going to be sold for parts, but today it was announced that the billionaire founder and CEO of Chobani yogurt, Hamdi Ulukaya, has purchased the company and is bringing it back to life. If Anchor’s social platforms are any indication, I think we can expect a return to greatness for a beautiful, unique brand, and I, for one, can’t wait to get my hands on their Liberty Ale again soon. …and that’s the tea. I’ve dropped the links to all these articles in the comments. Check ‘em out and let me know what you think too! See you back here next week!

My First Process Optimization was Burger Night It wasn’t in salesforce, HubSpot, marketo or zapier, it was in a kitchen. At the time, I was managing a restaurant, and Monday Burger Night was both a customer favorite and a staff nightmare. 🍔 The problem? We offered half-price burgers, but with six different standard options, and not a single table ordered them “as is.” The kitchen was slammed, servers were overwhelmed, and table turnovers were painfully slow due to long ticket times from all the modifications, which meant less money for everyone. After three weeks of watching the chaos, I decided to make a change. 🔧 The solution? I redesigned the menu to a “Build Your Own” (BYO) burger format. Customers could select their bun, patty, temperature, and toppings exactly how they wanted. (Also added a quick fill on the POS for the rare individual that wanted a standard burger no mods) Then, I restructured the kitchen from a traditional station line to more of a Ford-style assembly line, improving efficiency and reducing errors. The result? ✅ Happier customers who got their burgers quicker and just how they wanted them. ✅ Happier servers who could now handle triple the tables and make more money. ✅ Happier kitchen staff who were no longer buried in complicated tickets, with less shouting all around. It was a small change in process that had a big impact. This experience taught me that a well-optimized process doesn’t have to be complicated. Often, it’s just about seeing where the bottlenecks are and making adjustments to streamline the workflow. From the kitchen to SaaS, process optimization is key to success. 🔧💡 #ProcessOptimization #FromRestaurantToSaaS #Efficiency #Leadership #CustomerExperience #Operations

🚀 Why We Never Deploy to Production on a Friday! As much as we love the thrill of new releases, there's something we love even more: a smooth and stress-free weekend! After all, the only thing that should be uncorked on a Friday is a bottle of fine wine, not a bottle of production bugs. Cheers to everyone who knows the value of a well-timed deployment and a well-earned glass of wine. 🍷🍷 #TechLife #WorkLifeBalance #Salesforce #FridayFeeling #Deployment #ViralPost Follow Fergal McMenamin https://lnkd.in/dMqSq6T2

This Thanksgiving, we’re taking a break from crunching data, generating leads, and making marketing magic to focus on something way more important: you. 🧡 Yes, you. The unsung heroes of campaigns, sales calls, and ambitious targets. The dreamers with big goals 🌟 and even bigger to-do lists. You trusted us to be part of your journey, and honestly, that’s the kind of thing that makes our data-loving hearts burst with joy. 💗 Or maybe that’s the pie 🥧—we’ll let you know after dessert. Seriously though, we are so grateful for you. 🙏 You’ve given us a front-row seat to your wins 🏆 (and maybe a few challenges 😅), and there’s no better feeling than knowing we played a tiny role in making those wins happen. It’s like being the cranberry sauce—unexpectedly essential, but not the main event. Thank you for making what we do so rewarding. For letting us geek out over lead generation and data optimization while you tackle the really hard stuff. For being the reason we do what we do and for occasionally laughing at our jokes on social media. We hope your holiday is filled with family, friends, and all the carbs your stretchy pants can handle. You’ve earned it 🎉. We’re raising a glass of something pumpkin-flavored to you today (unless it’s pumpkin beer; that stuff’s an abomination 🤢). Here’s to you, your success, and maybe a second slice of pie. Happy Thanksgiving! 🙏 With a ton of gratitude and maybe a smidge too much gravy, The Klover Data Team #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #ClientAppreciation #BusinessSuccess #Teamwork

Good morning LinkedIn! I’m excited to share an update on my progress with #Salesforce for #CoffeeRoasting. Today, I’ll be discussing my proposed structure and unique fields. To start, each type of bean from each seller will be an individual organization, with the supplier, price, and origin as data fields. This will allow me to compare beans against each other later on and sets the groundwork for good reporting later. Using the Opportunity for tracking roasts allows me to compare the same bean roasted with differing methods and settings. Even though I only have one roaster at the moment, I will still structure the roaster settings to be a picklist with dependent fields for the settings. This leaves open the possibility of adding a new roaster without upsetting the database structure. Finally, I’ll use Activities to track individual brews. Here again, I’ll use a picklist with dependent fields for the brewing method and related settings. This not only simplifies adding new brewing methods but also sets the foundation for reports based on brewing method. Stay tuned for my next update on Monday, where I’ll share actual screenshots of my setup. Have a great weekend, everybody!

I made 35 pizzas last night in my Ooni Pizza oven. Yes you read that right. 35 pizzas. No picture evidence, but it happened, and I even had a Gozney oven alongside the Ooni to help me out. Someone asked me how I was so fast at turning a dough ball into a nice circle disk with a crust and I didn't have an answer for them except we counted how many times I've probably made pizza (including working at a pizza place) and we guessed probably 1,000 pizzas. So there's my answer to everything in life. How do you get better at something? You practice. Running, programming, architecting, closing sales, prospecting, running marketing ads, sports, salesforce, singing, piano. Unfortunately for 95% of us, there's no secret sauce. There's just practice and time, and making 1000 pizzas. #pizza #salesforce #sales #practice #sports

🌟 Salesforce Objects Explained… with Pizza! 🍕 🌟 Imagine you're running a pizza joint, and Salesforce is your new super-efficient pizza management system. Here’s how it all works: Standard Objects are like the basic ingredients. They’re the dough, cheese, and sauce of your pizza world. Think of them as the customers, orders, and products—the essentials you need to keep things rolling. Custom Objects? Well, these are your extra toppings! Whether it’s pineapple (controversial, I know 😏) or extra jalapeños, custom objects let you spice things up by adding your own flavor—whether it’s tracking delivery drones or pizza crust thickness. 🍍🔥 Now, you’ve got your Relationships. These are like the connections between your ingredients. The dough and cheese are best friends (a.k.a. Master-Detail), while the cheese and pineapple are in a casual “let’s see how this goes” relationship (that’s your Lookup). And don’t forget Record Types. Think of them as the different pizza sizes. Whether you’re making a personal pizza or a party size, the base ingredients are the same, but the approach changes! So, the next time you’re managing records in Salesforce, think of it like building the perfect pizza—whether it’s plain cheese or packed with your favourite custom toppings. Just remember to keep those relationships strong, or you’ll end up with a soggy slice! 🍕😅 Salesforce, Trailhead by Salesforce #Salesforce #SalesforceObjectsExplained #StandardObjects #CustomObjects #RelationshipsInSalesforce #RecordTypes #SalesforceRecords
