🚨 CMS Releases CY2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Proposed Rule! On July 10, 2024, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the CY2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (PFS) proposed rule, setting payment rates for healthcare services under Medicare. This follows the CMS’ Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) proposed rule from July 9, 2024. The comment period ends on September 9, 2024. Given the complexity of these rules, CTeL has summarized key telehealth provisions to help you understand the changes that may impact your practice. Note that these are proposed regulatory changes, with the final rule published after the comment period. CMS often makes changes based on public feedback. On July 10, 2024, CMS released its proposed Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) for calendar year 2025. In addition to the agency’s suggested cut to physician payments, the proposed rule also announced new covered services.
