Eating the King of fruit - Durian can be a fun and unique team-building activity for several reasons: * Shared experience: A strong sense of camaraderie can develop when people share a unique and memorable experience together. Eating durian, with its distinctive flavor and aroma, can be such an experience. * Breaking down barriers: The unusual nature of durian can help break down social barriers and encourage people to try new things and step outside their comfort zones. * Laughter and fun: Durian's strong odor and pungent taste can often lead to laughter and lighthearted banter, creating a positive and enjoyable atmosphere. * Cultural appreciation: For those unfamiliar with durian, it can be an opportunity to learn about different cultures and food traditions. * Teamwork: Opening a durian can require teamwork and coordination, as it can be quite challenging. This can help foster a sense of collaboration and cooperation. While not everyone may enjoy the taste of durian, the shared experience and the potential for bonding can make it a memorable and rewarding team-building activity. #FreseniusKabiSingapore #Teambonding

🎯🚀 New paper from our faculty Dr. Christian A. Mahringer (University of Stuttgart | School of Management ) with colleagues Dr. Kathrin Sele (Aalto University) and Jun.-Prof. Dr. Anja Danner-Schröder (RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau)! 🎯🚀 The authors examine how restaurant #Nolla, which is based in #Helsinki, recreated their organizational routines that were disrupted through the lockdowns induced by hashtag #Covid-19. They find that embodiment, the human body in its environment, plays an essential role within this recreation process. The research is particularly relevant in times of #crisis, as it unpacks the process of resuming operations in detail. The paper has been published in Journal of Management Studies, a leading journal in management and organization studies. Link to the paper: https://lnkd.in/dQ53bHqU #routines #Covid #extremecontext #qualiativeresearch
It’s out! 🎉📚🌱 Happy to share my latest research with Jun.-Prof. Dr. Anja Danner-Schröder-Schröder and Dr. Christian A. Mahringer in the Journal of Management Studies. In our study, we unpack the role of the lived body in routine recreation in extreme contexts. We examined Restaurant Nolla, a zero-waste fine-dining restaurant in Helsinki, during the COVID-19 pandemic and find that ‘embodied connection work’ plays an integral part in actors’ attempts to establish new ways of operating. Specifically, we show how this active process of making connections between actors and actions consists of embodied imagining and embodied protecting—two interrelated practices that enable the reintegration of stakeholders and the reassembling of what matters to them. I want to thank Albert Franch Sunyer, Carlos Henriques, Luka Balac and the entire Nolla family for welcoming me into their lives during a very challenging moment. Watching you engage with the world with care and passion was formative way beyond this study. 🙏 Link to paper: https://lnkd.in/dFbVKES6 #nolla #ethnography #embodiment #zerowaste #extremecontexts #disruption #routinedynamics #covid19 #pandemic #sustainability

So DIRTEA has effectively announced its entry into the functional drinks market, with ex-Huel COO joining as CEO. They’ve undeniably got a great social media presence, and branding, which has developed them a bit of a cult following. Excited to see how this one plays out as they move into bricks-and-mortar. My main thoughts are: - Can they stand out against TRIP on shelves, given their very similar branding, and marketing narrative? - Do they differentiate from TRIP by opting for functional dosages? - Do they go full-on functional mushrooms or have a more science-led approach with mushrooms + adaptogens?
Functional mushroom brand DIRTEA has hired former Huel COO Grant Coetzee to be its new CEO

"Gesha", a strategic interaction between fame and quality In September, we organized a large event 2024 World Geisha Tour across 13 cities in 4 countries, with hundreds of people participated. Combining the above results, the general pattern of people's feedback on their preferences for Geishas is: Firstly naturally processed with complex and prominent flavors , secondly preferred highly fermented and with directional flavors but lastly With well-balanced but relatively weak in flavor! When the markets as mentioned above preferred those qualities of Geisha, Famous Geisha farms command high prices without promising all batches or lots are consistently high in quality! "Gesha", is indeed a strategic interaction between fame and quality!
