- [Instructor] In this video, I'll demonstrate how to perform some basic configuration tasks on a vSphere distributed switch. So here we are in the vSphere client, and I'm going to click on the networking tab. And here's my RickCrisciDemo vSphere distributed switch. I can right click it and I can go to settings and I can edit settings on the vSphere distributed switch. And so there's a number of different settings that I could potentially configure from this view. I can configure things like should network IO control be enabled. There's a number of advanced settings as well. Like for example, what should the MTU be, the Maximum Transmission Unit? And this is similar to what we saw on our vSphere standard switch. I'm going to use an MTU of 1,500. The most important thing here is that I am configuring this vSphere distributed switch the same as I'm configuring my physical network. I can also configure either Cisco Discovery Protocol or CDP, or I can configure Link layer Discovery…
