- [Educator] The simple question of what is manual testing? Has an equally simple answer. It is performing tests on a product manually, meaning by hand, and more recently, without any automation or special tools. It's looking at the product from a user's perspective with a focus at identifying the pitfalls, design flaws, and issues. While this is an easy answer, it's by no means easy. Manual testing requires a lot of technical skills and a deep understanding of the product being tested. It's whole focus is to reduce or eliminate issues users might encounter. So there is a level of expertise necessary to accomplish this goal. When you perform manual testing, you will conduct complicated test cases designed to stretch the reliability and performance of a product. You need to have focus and determination.
