- [Educator] I know it seems late here in the course to be sharing how to perform manual testing. However, I feel like you need to understand where and when it's used before you take the steps to learn how. Manual testing is a slower and more arduous process than other forms of testing. However, it does create the foundation of every good tester. Let's now explore how we can put it to use. Manual testing begins with a product review. Testing starts at the earliest stages of product development, which means you might not even have a complete product to test. Therefore it's important you begin by reviewing key documents that are used to build a product. A marketing or product requirements document is a good place to start. If there is a product specification, project document, or other materials, you could review those as well. At this point, test managers and quality pros are enlisted to design a test plan.
