Congruent triangles

- [Voiceover] Congruent triangles are triangles that have the same size and shape. So for example, these two little triangles are congruent. They have the same size and shape. Another way to designate that is that all their sides are the same. You know, their angles are also the same. It's a nice thing to know about triangles and sometimes we have to prove congruency in order to solve for lengths of triangles or angles of triangles. So there are some circumstances that can help us prove it. So one of them is what we call the side, side, side or SSS triangle. This is if all the sides of the triangle are the same, kind of like my example here. Another way to do it is to have two sides in an included angle. All the triangles that I'm gonna draw are probably gonna look more less congruent but in real life you have to prove it. So let me just show you an example here.
