Saving your workbook as a PDF file
- [Instructor] Tableau let's you create terrific visualizations. Once you create them of course, you will want to share them. There are a number of ways you can do that and in this movie I will show you how to print a visualization to a PDF file. PDF is the Portable Document Format and as the name implies, it's very easy to use to share files with colleagues. PDF is a very handy format if you want to share your visualizations with individuals who don't have Tableau or if you want to send them a non-interactive version that doesn't include the original data. To demonstrate the process, I will use the "SaveAsPDF" workbook, and you can find it in the Chapter03 folder of your Exercise Files collection. You've probably suspected that to print to PDF, we will go to the file menu. You are correct. So I'll go over to File and then about halfway down the list I'll click "Print to PDF". Doing so displays the "Print to PDF" dialogue box and there are a number of settings that I can affect…
