Editing and deleting parameters
- [Instructor] Creating a parameter gives you a quick and visual way to change the characteristics of a top filter. If you decide to go and change the parameter you can do so with no problem. You can also delete the parameter but be aware that means that any filters or other operations based on the parameter will no longer work. In this movie I will show you how to edit and delete parameters. My sample file is the edit parameter workbook, which you can find in the chapter six folder of your exercise files collection. My parameter is listed at the bottom of the data tab and you can see it here under parameters, it's called number of cities. If I want to edit the parameter I can hover the mouse pointer over the parameters perl. Click the down arrow and then click edit. Doing so displays the edit parameter dialog box and I can change any element. For example, I can change the minimum or maximum. Let's say that I want to show 10 values at maximum instead of seven.
