The language of sales

(jazzy piano music) - One of the things that's really important to understand in sales is not everybody does it the way your company does it. And so, there's a whole lexicon that applies to sales, a language, and I think it's really important, if you want to be an authentic seller, you don't want to be confused about the titles. You don't want to be confused about the order in which you hand off customers. So I think it's really important that we talk some about that now. - I agree, and the most confusing part to me, when I first started in sales, was the titles. You have BDR, business development representative, AE, account executive, CSR, customer service representative. The whole thing feels a little acronym overload. (laughs) But the most common one we're hearing these days is definitely BDR. - Which is a business development representative. And again, it means different things in different companies.
