- [Narrator] The latest LEO satellite constellations can provide ever-enhanced broadband satellite internet access with broad coverage on Earth. As a result of this technological innovation, a single user can enjoy enhanced broadband with low latency from satellite internet services. A high throughput satellite can handle data traffic from tens to hundreds of gigabits per second, supporting many broadband services. Such capability relies on some enabling factors, such as spectrum bands, inter-satellite communications mechanisms, spot beam technologies, hybrid orbital operation, space-ground communication with ground stations, and optimal traffic routing. Satellites have primarily used the L, S, C, K, A and Ku bands, where possible interference or data congestion with existing satellite services operating on the same frequencies and routes may degrade the data bandwidth provided by satellite internet.
