Attach documentation to transactions
- [Instructor] To keep information and documentation close at hand you can attach files to customers, vendors, and their transactions that way you can quickly review information to answer questions or include paperwork for your accountant within QuickBooks Online. We'll start by attaching a file to a vendor. In the navigation bar go to Expenses and then click Vendors. I'm going to click the name of the first vendor, Arthur Bryant. And that takes me to the screen for that vendor. You want to make sure to be on the Vendor Details tab. And if you scroll down, you'll see at the bottom left there's a paperclip and it says Attachments. You can drag and drop files into the box or you click the icon and that opens up an Open Dialog box. So, in this case, I'm going to a folder, which is on my desktop, and I'm going to select the W9 for this vendor and then click Open. That loads the file and associates it with this vendor.
