Showcase of project schedule

- [Instructor] In this course, I use a sample project to demonstrate how to develop and manage a schedule. The sample project's goal is to publish a training guide and companion website for the company's product. The executive team wants the guide and website out in July, one month after the software is released. The project starts in March, when the product design is complete. The project uses internal resources, so the budget isn't a factor. The project work is organized around the deliverables, such as the published training guide and launched website. As is usually the case, the project presents some challenges during planning and after work gets underway. We'll look at techniques for building the project schedule so it's realistic. Then we'll examine other techniques for keeping the project on schedule and within budget. Once you understand these techniques using the sample project, you can apply them to your own projects with whatever scheduling tool you use.
