If you've set your session tempo, and the music is aligned to the bars/beats ruler, then editing in grid mode can offer numerous advantages. Here, I'll go over various grid-based editing techniques, and show you some examples of when to use each. Now, earlier we shortened the voiceover in this session to fit within 20 seconds, but now the music is too long. Let's change the main time scale to bars and beats so that we can work in rhythmically meaningful measurements like quarter notes. You can do that by selecting bars/beats for the main counter, here, or you can simply click on the head of your bars/beats ruler, here. Note that if you click here a second time, you'll hide the vertical grid lines on your tracks. If that happens to you accidentally, you can simply click once more to show the grid lines again.
