- Here's a scenario. Our company's most important website is down and we're losing millions of dollars by the minute. Where do you start? - Troubleshooting is key to operating production environments. As much as we wish our applications would never go offline they often do. This question is used to gauge your troubleshooting skills and possibly your ability to perform under pressure. Because this is a scenario question, start by asking your own questions. Ask what services the website is using. If logs are available, if any changes have been made to the system recently and so on. Basically, anything that wasn't given in the scenario is fair game to ask about. You can even ask how you came to know about the outage. Were you alerted, for example.
