- [Instructor] Hi, I'm Bonnie Beuford. One scheduling best practice is the tasks with high float should represent 5% or less of the project tasks, because they're hard to track and manage. In this tip, we'll start by finding tasks with excessive float. I'm going to start by inserting the total slack field into this table. I'm going to right click the Duration heading and then choose Insert Columns. I'll start to type the name of the field, Total Slack. And when I see it, I can click it to add it to the table. Now, what is high float? That depends on the length of the project. This project is about seven months duration. So I'm going to use one month as high float. We're going to look for tasks with float greater than one month or 20 workdays. We're going to calculate this with a custom number field. So I'm going to right click the heading for Total Slack and choose Insert Column again. I want to add a number field.…
