Learning objectives
Lesson 4: Build an organized task list and create dependencies provides a comprehensive discussion on task management. We'll get started with the mechanics of building a task list and correcting mistakes along the way. Next, you'll learn the difference between manual and automatic tasks and the benefits of each one. We'll continue enhancing our task details by providing estimates that drive calculations in project. Key events or checkpoints in our plan will be entered as milestones. To organize our task list, we'll make summary and subtasks which will allow us to expand and collapse to different levels of detail. You'll learn how to set up relationships between tasks by creating dependencies which are used by the scheduling engine and project to calculate tasks start and finish dates. After building our task list, we'll evaluate our plans calculated completion time by using statistics. Finally, you'll learn the importance of notes and hyperlinks to enhance task information.
