Create a new plan and set its start date

The most important part of your plan is how you want it scheduled and it requires a date. You have the option to provide a start date or a finish date to drive calculations. This is how project normally starts. It gives you, kind of, a helper screen. What we'll do is just click on "Blank Project." Now, let's pretend you don't want that helper screen, you have the option to change it. And that's under File, Options, and there's this great choice, Show the Start screen. If you decide you don't like it and disable that, the next time you start project, you end up immediately jumping to this screen. So that's a personal choice. I also recommend another option to consider, and this is a great tip for you, you can change the date format, since we're talking about dates, that's also under File, Options. And this is the default date format. I'm located in the United States, but I work with a lot of people around the world, I prefer one that is more internationally friendly. So let me change…
