Group tasks and resources
- [Instructor] Grouping helps you look at categories of tasks, resources, or assignments. For example, grouping tasks first by critical and then by duration. I'm gonna start by going to the Task Usage View. On the View tab, in the Task View section, I'm gonna click Task Usage. Now I'm gonna point at the vertical divider to the right of the task name because I want that column to be a little bit wider. Well let's say that I wanna group this by resources. On the View tab, go to the Data section and click the down arrow in the Group By box. There are some built-in groups that you can use. One of them is Resource. If I click that, that will group the tasks by the resource that's assigned. The first group is No Value so that means tasks that have no resources assigned. In this case, they're all milestones so that's fine. Then you have a group for each of the resources and actually sets of resources in the project. I'm gonna scroll down to find the office manager.
