Assign resources to tasks
- Project offers several methods for assigning resources to tasks. If you have simple assignments, you can do the assignments right in the Gantt chart with the entry table. I'm looking at the Gantt chart now and if I right click the select all cell at the top left of the table, you can see that I'm looking at the entry table. To see the resource names column, I'm gonna point at the divider between the table and the time scale and then drag to the right. Now I can see the resource names column. Let's say I want to assign a resource to the identifier requirements task. I'm gonna click the resource name cell in that row and then click the down arrow and I can turn on the checkbox for the resource that I want to assign. When I press enter, the assignment is done. One great thing about assigning resources in the table is you can copy that assignment to other cells. Let's say I want the PM to work on the next two tasks.
