- People who don't feel valued at work end up withholding the very things we need most from them. Their talent and commitment. They may have been passed over for a promotion, raise, or bonus. They may have colleagues or supervisors who don't think they're up for a particular task. They feel overlooked and denied opportunities they should be able to compete for in a fair environment. Employees who don't feel valued also feel unsupported. They feel like they're being taken advantage of by the company. They feel overworked, underpaid, and burned out.
