When it comes to making a big change, you'll meet lots of new people, have lots of important conversations. There's a lot of information coming in that needs to be remembered. Just like Hansel and Gretel left a breadcrumb trail to find their way back home, you need to craft a paper trail that you can use to remember all the important details. The best way to create a paper trail for yourself is to create a call log where you document the details of every phone conversation. You create a call log using a text document on your computer or your notes app on your cell phone. I recommend creating a digital text document so you'll be able to easily search the document for key dates or information. In my call log, I write down the same categories of details for every call. I start with the date, the person's name, their title, and their contact information. From there, I write a summary of the conversation how much time we spent speaking, and the next step to take.
