An example of a SCADA system
- [Narrator] Here's an example of a SCADA system. This system consists of devices and software from different manufacturers. This system has two processes. Process one includes a conveyor belt with two sensors, a laser distance sensor from Wenglor, and a proximity capacitive sensor from Omron. And they are connected to Allen Bradley Micro820 PLC. Process two includes a level sensor for measuring a liquid in a tank, similar to processes in food and beverage industries. An example of a level sensor is from Endress Hauser that is connected to Schneider Electric Modicon PLC. And each software in this SCADA system is also from different vendors. The PLC programming software for both PLCs are: Connected Components Workbench from Rockwell Automation, and EcoStruxure Machine Expert from Schneider Electric.
