Switching from spending time to investing time

Technology and AI continue to create opportunities to simplify working life. So as we remove repetitive and time -consuming activities, we can switch our thinking from spending time on mundane tasks which don't excite or engage us, to investing time on the things that make a difference. Spending time gives the impression that something you have fought for has been relinquished, that you have lost something unwillingly, just as your hard -earned money might melt from your hands as you seek immediate gratification, time can fly by with nothing to show for it in return. So let's get excited by investing your time. Your future self will thank you, and you will be better off for it. I like to think about the positives I can achieve by investing my time in seven distinct areas. Reflection, Developing yourself and others, Market research, Reputation, Customers, Taking breaks, and Innovation. This course will help you make the time investment transition to ensure you succeed. As you progress through this course, you might think to yourself, I don't have time for that, but each area is designed to save time in the long term by investing in the right areas now. As Abraham Lincoln famously said, Give me six hours to chop down a tree, and I will spend the first four sharpening the axe. I would suggest that he invested time in sharpening his axe, and this course is designed to help you sharpen your axe. As we work our way through the seven areas, I'm going to explain why you should invest in each area, and then I will help you determine how to do it. There will be practical examples showing why and how business leaders drive themselves and their businesses on by investing their time wisely. So are you ready to make the mindset shift from spending to investing your time?
